Frequently asked questions

Questions before we work together.

Here are the details teams usually ask about when choosing an audit or planning accessibility work. If your question is not covered, email hello@accessbridge.eu. We reply within 1 working day.

Audits

What exactly do I get with a Starter audit?

For €1,800 excluding VAT, we assess up to 10 agreed pages on one website, in one language, covering up to two user journeys. You receive a prioritised WCAG 2.2 AA report, a 10–15 minute captioned video walkthrough and transcript, a 30-minute debrief and one focused retest of up to two hours. Request that retest within 30 calendar days of the debrief. Additional pages, language versions and remediation are separate.

How long will the audit take, and what do you need from us?

The Starter report arrives within 7 working days of kickoff. Full audit reports typically take 15–20 working days, with the delivery date confirmed in the quote. Kickoff requires an agreed scope, the initial payment and access to the pages and test accounts we need. Please provide a website address, your main user journeys and any relevant design or technical constraints. We arrange the debrief within 5 working days of delivering the report. If missing access changes the schedule, we agree a revised date with you.

Do you test manually or just run an automated scanner?

Both. Manual testing covers keyboard access, screen-reader behaviour, forms, errors, zoom, reflow and other relevant criteria. Automated checks help identify issues that tools can detect. The report names the tested browsers, assistive technology, pages and states. A sampled audit describes those areas at the time of testing and cannot establish that every untested page is accessible.

Can you help our developers fix issues and check their work?

Yes. Pairing, pull-request review and targeted retesting cost €110 per hour, with a two-hour minimum per engagement and 15-minute increments after that. We agree a spending cap. Your developers make and release the changes. Both audit packages include one focused retest of up to two hours, requested within 30 calendar days of the debrief and delivered within 5 working days once the request and access are received. We quote additional retest time before doing it.

European Accessibility Act

Does the EAA apply to every business website?

No. It applies to specified products and consumer services, including e-commerce and consumer banking. A business's activities, customers and national implementing rules matter. Our review identifies technical gaps and questions for your legal adviser; it does not decide your legal obligations.

We have fewer than 10 employees. Are we exempt?

The EAA exempts microenterprises providing services. Its definition combines fewer than 10 people employed with annual turnover or an annual balance sheet total of no more than €2 million. Product obligations differ, and other accessibility duties may still apply. Ask your legal adviser to confirm your position.

Has the EAA already taken effect?

Yes. It has applied since 28 June 2025. Transitional provisions exist for some arrangements, so your own position needs checking. We can help prioritise technical work on an existing service.

Will you certify that we comply with the EAA?

No. Our €1,200–€2,800 review provides a scoped technical spot-check, a review of customer accessibility information and processes, and an action plan. It is not a full WCAG audit or legal opinion. We do not issue certification. Your legal adviser confirms legal conclusions.

Working with us

Which platforms and languages do you support?

We audit WordPress, Shopify and custom websites, including responsive web applications and agreed logged-in journeys. We do not audit native iOS or Android apps. Monitoring is limited to public pages. Reports and meetings are available in English or German; each package includes one agreed language version unless the quote states otherwise.

Can you work with our agency or an organisation outside the EU?

Yes. We support agencies and in-house teams, including organisations outside the EU where the scope, language and time-zone arrangements fit. Work is remote. We can join agreed project channels, review your team's tickets and sign an NDA before you share access or confidential materials.

How do you handle client access and data?

We request the minimum access needed and prefer staging environments with synthetic test data. Please do not send customer databases or production credentials by email or chat. We agree a secure access method, limit access to the assigned team and use EU-hosted project storage. Temporary test accounts should be revoked at project completion. We delete working copies of client-provided files within 30 calendar days after closure and retain final reports for 12 months unless a different period is agreed. Where personal data processing is necessary, we agree the relevant data-processing terms before access.

When are you available, and how quickly will you reply?

We work Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 Vienna time, using CET in winter and CEST in summer, excluding Austrian public holidays. We reply to enquiries within 1 working day. The first consultation lasts 20 minutes and is free. We do not offer phone support or emergency response. The site chat answers service questions at any time; human follow-up takes place during business hours.

Pricing and payment

Are your prices fixed, and do they include VAT?

The Starter audit is €1,800 and monitoring is €190 per site per month, excluding VAT. EAA reviews receive a fixed quote between €1,200 and €2,800 after scoping. Full audits are quoted after discovery. Remediation costs €110 per hour. VAT is added where applicable and confirmed on your quote. We agree any scope changes and additional fees before doing the work.

How and when do we pay?

Pay by bank transfer in euros. Audits and EAA reviews are invoiced 50% before kickoff and 50% at report delivery, with invoices due within 14 calendar days. Work starts after the initial payment clears. Remediation is invoiced monthly in arrears with 14-day terms. Monitoring is paid monthly in advance before the period starts. We can include a purchase-order reference. We do not accept card or cash payments.

What does monitoring cover, and can we cancel?

The €190 monthly fee covers one domain, one language version and up to 50 agreed public URLs. You receive weekly automated checks, a monthly keyboard check of one journey across up to five pages, and a monthly email report. It is not continuous monitoring or a full audit, and fixes are separate. There is no setup fee or minimum term beyond the paid month. Email hello@accessbridge.eu before your next renewal to cancel. Service continues until the paid period ends, with no partial-month refund.

Can we start with a small piece of work?

Yes. Choose a Starter audit for up to 10 key pages, or book a remediation engagement from two hours at €110 per hour. Both prices exclude VAT. The free 20-minute consultation helps establish whether either option is appropriate. There is no obligation to commission paid work after the consultation.
